About the Project: The former Marine Corp Air Station in Tustin is being transformed into a 1600 acre planned community named “Tustin Legacy”. Phase 1 of this project is completed and consists of mass grading, clearing and grubbing, major storm water system and retaining walls. Phase 2 began August 23, 2012 and will be completed by end of 2013. Phase two of Tustin Ranch Road Project involves new roadway paving, sidewalks, sound walls, street and landscape improvements, underground utilities and a new bridge over-crossing at Edinger Avenue. The bridge is a 4-span, cast-in-place/prestressed box Girder Bridge, spanning over 6 lanes of Edinger Ave., Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) two main line tracks and the Santa-Ana-Santa Fe Flood control channel. The bridge consists of extensive concrete work and a decorative metal arch railing was fabricated and installed directly above the concrete barriers on both sides of the bridge.
