Details Hi All, Join ASCE OC YMF for an informative and hands on workshop “Key Ingredients to become a Project Manager”, featuring keynote speaker Ignacio Ochoa (Director/Chief Engineer, OC Engineering). The workshop will be held on November 14th, 2013! The workshop consists of two segments. The first hour would be an informative webinar, “Engineer Your Own Success: 7 Key Elements to Creating an Extraordinary Engineer” by Anthony Fasano, P.E. The second part will be an interactive presentation by Ignacio Ochoa, P.E. (Director/Chief Engineer, OC Engineering), discussing his professional experiences and thoughts regarding moving up to a management role from a public agency perspective. Ignacio Ochoa Bio: Ignacio “Nacho” Ochoa began his civil engineering career with the County of Orange as a Junior Civil Engineer over 33 years ago. He steadily progressed to achieve the esteemed position as the County’s Chief Engineer and Director of the OC Engineering Division in OC Public Works in 2007, and in March 2012, he was appointed as Interim Public Works Director and has served in those dual roles for the past 18 months. Ignacio manages a staff of over 500 employees and oversees the design, construction, and maintenance of roads and regional flood control facilities in the County of Orange. He is responsible for an annual budget of over $250 million. Within the OC Engineering Division, Ignacio directs OC Flood, OC Inspection, OC Operations & Maintenance, OC Road, OC Survey and Project Management, and OC Watersheds.
