| Details | ASCE LA YMF will be hosting an Order of the Engineer Ceremony atop Los Angeles City Hall for all engineers and soon to be engineers that work around the LA area. The Order of the Engineer was initiated to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession. The goal is to bridge the gap between training and experience, and to present to the public a visible symbol identifying the engineer. Participants will take the Obligation of the Engineer and receive a steel ring to be worn as a reminder of their commitment to high ethics and professionalism. The program will also include speeches by local engineers who impact our community including State Assemblywoman Luz Rivas, along with a message from the Mayor of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti. Attendees will receive a ring, certificate, digital photo and light refreshments will be served. |
