| Details | Join OC YMF as we build a house in Tijuana, Mexico with Corazon. This is a one day commitment and involves travel into Mexico. Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome. Corazon is a non-profit organization that develops communities for families in Mexico. Visit Corazon's website for more information regarding the organization. EVENT DETAILS Date: Saturday, May 5th Meeting Location: 360 E H St, Chula Vista, CA Meeting Time: 6:00 AM Estimated Return Time to Chula Vista from Tijuana: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Transportation: Vehicles will park in Chula Vista. Travel into Mexico will be by bus through group leader. Requirements: All volunteers must have a valid US Passport. Clothing & Supplies: Gloves, hats, sunscreen, and tools (if possible), Water(not provided on site) Cost: Please bring $15 for transportation on bus. Dinner and gas costs will be covered by volunteers. Snacks provided byASCE and lunch provided by Corazon. Carpools from Orange County to Chula Vista can be sent out and will be coordinated through email/google sheet before the event. Volunteers will gather at the meeting location by 6 AM. The day will include assembling a house with a bathroom by painting and general construction. Work will complete around 4:00 PM. Bus will depart Tijuana and return to the US at that time. Return time to ths US will depend on the time it takes to travel across the border. Friends and families are welcome. All minors that register must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. ASCE carries no responsibility for incidents that occur during the trip. REGISTRATION Registering on Eventbrite only does not sign you up for the event.
