| Details | We will be volunteering with the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, a local non-profit organization, helping those interested in becoming U.S. citizens apply for citizenship. Prospective volunteers should look at the Pro Bono Training Institute (PBTI) segment on completion of the Naturalization form. Please make an account to view the trainings by following the PBTI link at: http://pbtraining.org/. Naturalization 101 and the Filling out the N-400 modules are the most important ones for persons who are going to assist on the one-on-one form completion. All forms will be QA/QC’d by lawyers; but for a better understanding, the Quality Control module is optional. A copy of the blank N-400 form is attached, so volunteers watching the training video can follow along. Alternatively, an in-person training date may be coordinated if there is enough interest. Please fill out the Confidentiality Agreement and Non staff Volunteer Form. All volunteers are welcome, special need for bilingual speakers (Spanish-English). |
