| Details | SteppingUP’s Career Day consists of a career fair, followed by mock interviews. During the career fair, SteppingUP students visit the professional volunteers and are provided the opportunity to hear their personal stories and journeys through informal conversation. During this time, parents will attend a workshop. Afterwards, mock interviews are conducted by professional volunteers and allow students to present their resume and practice marketable job skills. Catered lunch will be provided for those who would like to stay. SteppingUP is a non-profit program that provides low income, first generation middle and high school students with the guidance and resources necessary to pursue a higher education. Our Career Day aims to equip our students and parents with first-hand knowledge of potential career and educational paths, and further support them on their quest towards a successful future. We are seeking professional volunteers with a post-secondary degree or certificate to provide their time and insight. Volunteering entails sharing details of your career and educational path with our students, answering any questions they might have, and participating in the mock interview process. The SteppingUP students and staff would greatly appreciate your presence.
