Volunteer activity: ASCE will have a booth at this career fair-style event where we will tell students and parents what it's like to be a civil engineer and answer questions. We will also have a fun activity such as lego buildings + testing them on the earthquake "shake table" or building structures with toothpicks and marshmallows. If you have a cool idea for an activity, let us know! Event purpose: Provide students and their families a fun environment where they can explore variety STEM topics through hands-on activities.Students are in grades K-8.
