Details Please join your fellow civil engineers for an insightful seminar on the legal side of engineering. This seminar is specifically designed to develop the awareness of civil engineers to the legal aspects of engineering. The seminar will expand on: The liability for when stamping a design; How to handle and avoid potential legal pitfalls; How to manage scope growth on contracts; How to manage contract leakage; And much more! In the field of design, construction, and engineering services he has drafted and negotiated prime contracts, joint venture agreements, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and third-party reliance disclaimers. He also has jobsite experience as a Contract Manager dealing with issues ranging from risk management and insurance coverage to differing site conditions and third-party claims. Todd Graham, P.E., D. PE - KPFF Consulting Engineers Todd is a principal at KPFF in there Special Projects Division.  He has over 20 years of experience that includes a unique combination of both design and construction expertise. He has worked extensively on marine and waterfront projects and is adept at managing multi-disciplinary teams. In his work on both private and public works jobs, he has overseen the design and management of diverse projects including marine facilities construction, modification, and rehabilitation; site layouts; grading/drainage; railways; roadways and parking lots; public parks and play courts; multiunit and single family housing; utility infrastructure; and airport upgrades and expansions. In his role as a principal, Todd reviews and executes contracts with public agencies and private clients. Azzam Saad, P.E., Esq. - OC 405 Partners Azzam has 37 years of experience in Construction Management, including five years with the California Department of Transportation as a Resident Engineer, 10 years in Design/Build projects and 7 years in construction and real estate litigation. He has an excellent knowledge in construction contracts, claims, mediation, and arbitration along with a well-rounded experience as a representative for owners, consultants and contractors. He is currently the Contracts Manager on the $1.2 billion I-405 Improvement Design/Build Project with the owner OCTA and till recently, the Contracts Manager for the Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement Design Build Project for 5 years. Stavros Chrysovergis, Ph.D., M.S., P.E., G.E. - SPC Geotechnical Mr. Chrysovergis has over 30 years of experience in geotechnical, civil, and forensic engineering. His expertise is in the fields of geotechnical engineering, geology, foundation engineering, and civil engineering. Mr. Chrysovergis' consulting experience in geotechnical and civil engineering has ranged from land acquisition/planning, to site development, to forensic investigations for residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
