| Details | Why:The Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority is an independent transportation agency responsible for planning, designing and building the Metro Gold Line light rail system – altogether, a $3 billion infrastructure investment program in the county of Los Angeles. To date, the first two segments have been completed on time and under budget by the Construction Authority and ridership on the line is at historic highs. The segment from Glendora to Montclair will break ground in October, making it the first Measure M-funded rail line to move to construction.
