| Details | Please join ASCE OC YMF, LA YMF, and OC Geo-Institute for a site tour of the Regional Connector Transit Corridor Underground Line (RCC). The project is expected to be completed by 2019 and runs under the City’s main arteries; Flower and 2nd Street. This tour will allow you to possibly travel 60 feet underground to take a tour of the current construction of 1st Street & Central Station and depending on the phase of construction we may see the Tunnel Boring Machine. Schedule 11:30 a.m. – Sign-ins 11:45 a.m. – Safety Briefing & Receive PPE 12:00 p.m. – Presentation begins 12:30 p.m. – Site Tour begins @ 1st Street & Central Station 02:00 p.m. – End of Technical Tour Note: PPE will be provided for limited sets. It is advised that you bring approved PPE or you will not be able to continue with the tour (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, vest, hard hat, and gloves).
