On two separate Saturdays, ASCE OC YMF’s K-12 committee will be helping out at Dale Junior High and Ball Junior High during their Science Saturday event. During the event, eight graders get paired up with second graders and they have to complete various science/engineering related activities. Activities include spaghetti towers, paper airplanes, and straw rockets. We need volunteers to help set up and to answer any questions the students may have, as well as giving a short presentation about civil engineering. Dale Junior High Science Saturday will take place on April 30th at Dale Junior High (900 S Dale Ave, Anaheim, CA 92804) from 8am-12pm. Ball Junior High Science Saturday will take place on May 7th at Ball Junior High (1500 W Ball Rd, Anaheim, CA 92802) from 8am-12pm. We will be packing all materials for the activities and the goodie bags a day or two before each of the events. Please also let us know if you are available those days.
