| Details | Come join ASCE MLAB YMF for a hike around the Big Santa Anita Loop. On this scenic loop trip form Chantry Flat, we'll pass through lush, shady woods and by the base of the 50 foot high Sturtevant Falls. This trail is well maintained, mostly shaded, and of moderate/intermediate difficulty. The total trip will be approximately five hours, covering 9.5 miles with an elevation gain of 2100 feet. Water and snacks will be provided for all hikers. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Julia Moye. Directions: From the Foothill Freeway (210) in Arcadia, exit on Santa Anita Avenue and drive six miles north (until the end of the road) and park in one of the parking lots at Chantry Flat. The trail begins across the road from the parking lot, we will meet at the trail head. |
