| Details | Volunteer to teach kids about nanotechnology! No prior experience/knowledge necessary. For the past 2 years, our K-12 Outreach Committee has been getting more requests for visits than we can organize! We need help! We are looking for 3-4 volunteers who are interested in committing about 2 hours a month to our K-12 Outreach Committee. This group would assist with the much needed expansion of our K-12 Outreach Program by organizing events and leading lessons. All volunteers will be trained through a 2-hour session with an education group called Iridescent. They will work with you to devise your own lesson plans, improve your presentation and teaching skills, and make the necessary connections for your first self-organized session! Help ASCE educate our community about the importance of science and civil engineering! If you are interested, this is the event for you!
