| Details | Dr. Miyajima, who has 35 years of experience in the seismic engineering field, will be presenting about his latest research and findings on fault crossing pipeline, including soil box testing, Finite Element Modeling (FEM) analysis, and maximum allowable displacement of Earthquake Resistant Ductile Iron Pipe (ERDIP). The presentation introduces an alternative fault crossing pipeline design as well as providing detailed information on the Kamishiro earthquake in 2014 in regards to pipeline damages, nature of the quake, and lessons learned.
