The William and Linda Frost Center for Research and Innovation at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is a pivotal addition to campus. Completed in May 2023, it embodies the university’s “Learn by Doing” ethos, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among various colleges. Boasting cutting-edge amenities such as flexible research spaces, student collaboration areas, and LEED Gold® certification, the Frost Center prioritizes sustainability and promotes a healthy indoor environment. Despite challenges, the project team’s dedication and collaboration led to the facility exceeded expectations. Generous contributions from donors like William and Linda Frost and others were instrumental in bringing the project to fruition. Recognized for its innovative design and sustainability features, including a living rooftop garden, the Frost Center prepares students for success in a rapidly changing world by offering diverse learning environments and hands-on experiences.
