Redlands Boulevard and Alabama Street and Redlands Boulevard and Colton Avenue Intersection Improvement Project
Award
Description
The project realigned the northbound-southbound movements of Alabama Street, which had a 14’ job at the intersection of Redlands Boulevard, to create a smooth transition crossing and eliminate the hazardous potential for accidents. The project also eliminated the condition of three streets (Redlands Boulevard, Alabama Street, Colton Avenue) intersecting at the same point and created a more traditional “T” intersection for Redlands Boulevard and Colton Avenue. Finally, the project included two railroad at-grade crossings at Alabama Street and Colton Avenue, where the future Redlands Passenger Rail Project will be running.
